Octomom admits regret...

Octomom admits regret? NO, YA THINK! uhhh duh. it's about time! did she think it was going to be easy raising octuplets?...yeah rightt. let's be real here, i could not even imagine raising one baby nevermind octuplets plus her other six children.
but anyways onto more better stuff...like my EATS :) For breakfast i had the usual (obvss). but ever since i have been into the blogging world i have seen so many new ideas for meals and snacks that i am DEFS gonna have to try them real soon ;)

I had some milk, Chobani yogurt w/ smooshed banana, english muffin w/ 1 tbsp. PB & Co. Smooth Operatahhh while watching regis & kelly :)

the whole breakfast

english muffin w/ PB & Co. smooth operator

Now this is only my second time having PB & Co. smooth operator peanut butter. This past Sunday was my first time trying this lovely product. At first, I thought it was just like any other regualar peanut butter...until this morning when i had it for the second time. and boy let me tell you, the second time around trying something can seem so different. and that is exactly what happened to me with this peanut butter:) i gave the pb a nice mix in the jar this morning and spread a delectable 1 tbsp. pb onto my english muffin and it was divine, it started melting and it spread so nicely. the first time i tried this pb i thought it would be a lot creamier than it really was, but today for some reason it was! i think by mixing it in the jar really helped! lovesss it.

For a snacker this morning i had a serving of peanuts and a glass of OJ (haven't had this in awhile). I couldn't have my usual snack because I ran outta Boost (have to go grocery shopping today w/ mom). so i had to find something else in the kitchen to meet my calorie needs for my snack.

You like mushrooms and peppers?

Sunday, August 2, 2009

"You like mushrooms and peppers?"
Ok so for some reason for dinner I was craving spaghetti. I don't really know why because big portions of pasta tend to freak me out, I can usually only handle eating a small portion of pasta because ED tells me it is just all full of carbs, but seriously what does he know? oh yeah...NOTHING!

So I decided to brush the dust off on the spaghetti box that I bought eons ago, and I thought I would give it a try. I cooked my spaghetti while I cooked my slice of chicken on my george forman and off I was. I had a decent bowl of spaghetti, a slice of chicken, 1/4 cup mushroom & pepper tomato sauce, and a glass of milk.

But now that I look at my portion for dinner I feel as though it was pretty small and I should have had more pasta or something else with my meal. ughh kinda upset now :/ but anyways so my dad (aka inspector gadget) came into the kitchen and of course looked at what i was eating for dinner, and he says "You like mushrooms and peppers?" And I was like uhhh yeah dad and he was like oh i didn't know that. Ya know, when he says comments like that it really just pisses me off. It's like what do you think i am an alien from a different planet, of course i like mushrooms and peppers. Just because i have an eating disorder, he acts as though i have NEVER seen or heard of food before! Soo frustrating and rather annoying. Any one else sometimes feel like that or is it just me? Ugh so anyways, i just kind of brushed that off my shoulder and kind of ignored that lil comment.

So tonight i went over my cousins house for a bit and came home to have a nice cold Strawberry Boost for dessert!

To Do tomorrow:

Good night everyone :)

New Jersayy babayy

New Jersayy babayy

New Jersey?! Yes, New Jersey. Why am I talking about New Jersey...well because of two reasons, well three i guess. So lemme rewind...a couple weeks ago my lil sis Alexa (who is getting so old) had a lax tourney in New Jersey for a few days. When I found out we were going to NJ, I knew immediatley 2 places we HAD to visit...

1. CARLO'S BAKERY

2. THE BROWNSTONE

You may ask why we had to stop here and I will tell you because I absolutely love these two shows, that's why :)

Cake Boss crew

Real Housewives of New Jersey

So my myself, Alexa, and my mom all packed up for the trip to NJ. Krista and my dad had to stay home because she had a field hockey tourney. So on the way down to NJ we stopped at The Brownstone, a successful catering facility Caroline Manzo's hubby Albert owns. I have more pics but there on Alexa's camera. I will put them up laterr.

And on the way home from NJ we stopped at Carlo's Bakery from Cake Boss. We went inside and got some pastries (but of course I didn't have any because ED told me N-O). It was a bummer but I was happy we stopped at the bake shop. Alexa and I also got to take a pic with two of Buddy's sisters, Grace and Mary. We also got to say hi to Mauro! The day we went there they were actually filming upstairs with Buddy. His sisters said he would be down shortly but we could not wait we had to get back on the road because we still had a long drive ahead of us!

Change is Good!!

Now I know these three little words can sound so scary to some people (LIKE ME), and trust me they are. Personally for me I hate change, I can not stand it. I really hate when something or someone changes, I become really upset and frustrated and I just want things to go back to what they were like before. I know it might sound weird but it is true.

But now I have realized that CHANGE IS GOOD and sometimes you can not control it and you just have to accept the change and move on with it.

So as I have been recovering from my eating disorder one of my goals has been to accept changes happening around me and adapt well to them.

Now, usually I have been having the same boring foods over, over, and over again and I AM SICK OF IT. ED will only let me eat the same foods each day but I am getting so bored :( I want to try new foods because I know it really is not good to eat the same foods each day, your body needs a varitey. And besides eating the same foods every day gets a little boring! So trying new foods will bring some excitment into my life.

I have learned to ignore ED and all of his ridiculous ideas, and I am listening to myself. I have been trying hard to incoprporate different foods in my meals and snacks. At first I am real hesitant and ED is telling me to go back and eat what I usually eat, but then I tell myself I can do this, and I eat it and then afterwards I feel accomplished and proud that I tried something new for a change!
"If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies."
-----------------------------------------------------

My morning eats were:
glass of milk, english muffin w/ 1 tbsp Skippy pb, and a Chobani yogurt w/ a smashed nana

This morning I worked more on my blog (of coursee). I recently did a post about me and my two younger sisters, Krista and Alexa :) Check it. I also had a Vanilla Boost (gotta go to Target and restock) with a Nature Valley Fruit & Nut Bar. I feel ever since I started this blog I have been on it non stop! I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing?! hah. But like always, when you first get something new you become so attached to it but then after awhile you totally forget about it. I don't think this is going to happen in this situation because I totally love blogging!

For lunch today I had some milk, a turkey sammie, pretzels, and a PEACH!

So speaking of change, I usually always have an apple with my lunch. But today since we did not have any more I had to substitute and have another type of fruit. So I had a peach! I kind of forgot what peaches taste like so I was a little hesistant about trying it. But my first bite was divine! The peach was oh so sweet and soft and I loved every bite of it! Can't wait to have some yummy peaches soon :) And ya see...nothing happened to me, I am still here writing on my blog. Change is not gonna kill ya, I promise ya!

--------------------------------------------------

This afternoon as I was hungry I headed downstairs to the kitchen to grab me a snack. I was planning on having a Cranberry Apple Cherry Clif Bar until I went into the cabinet and discovered it was gone. I know I defs did not eat it (at least I don't think I did) so I am guessing one of my family members must have gotten their lil hands on it. They are always curious as to what I buy at the grocery store because I buy such cool stuff ;) And so they probably wanted to try it out themselves! I will just have to hunt them down and see who ate it on mee.

Toasted Nuts & Cranberry Luna Bar

This bar was filled with little pieces of cranberry but not a lot of nuts. This flavor was not all that exciting but I would definitely try this bar again as well as other Luna flavors because it is a perfect snack sized bar that filled me up.

Since I am just soo sick of power bars (because I usually have one nearly everyday) I settled for a Toasted Nuts & Cranberry Luna Bar with a G2. Now I know I should have probably had the power bar because it has more cals which I need but they are getting old. So now I have to make sure at dinner tonight I make up for those extra calories.

Okay so ever since I have been recovering from my eating disorder I have kind of developed my own cabinet in the kitchen. No Lie. Well ya see I have all of my Boost drinks stocked up there, my bars, and all of my other foods. I like to keep them in a separate cabinet rather than the family snack cabinet so they don't eat it on me. Because believe me anything in that cabinet is "fair game" as my dad would say ;o)

Just the three of us

Just the three of us <3

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they will still be there <3

from summer pictures...
to christmas cards...
to Disney vacations...

to matching outfits...
to growing up to young ladies...i know i will always have these two girls by my side<3 We are not just sisters, The three of us...we are best friends <3

Don't ya wanna go swimmin?!

Saturday, August 1, 2009

So this afternoon was pretty layed back, didn't really do all that much. Just hung out around the house w/ mommacita and sisterss. Lunch was not all that exciting, turkey sandwich on Arnold's 100% whole wheat bread (yumm!), sliced apple, and pretzels all washed down with a glass of milk.
favorite bread right noww

But while I was enjoying my lunch inside I was totally ignoring all of the bickering from my mom and sisters trying to fix our pool. Yes it is August 1st and our pool is still NOT OPEN...typical us. As usual there was a problemoo with the pool, this year it had a whole in it. So momma finally fixed the hole (because my dad wants nothing to do with the pool anymore he says it is a pain in tha @$$). So my mom and sisters have been dealing with it lately. So this is what it looked like this afternoon, lovely ehh?

first the pool was a nice green color!

...then it turned into a lovely brown color!

Don't ya wanna go swimmin?

And that would be my youngest sis Alexa modelin' in the pic ;)

But I have to tell ya the pool is supposed to look like that right now, no joke! Because my mom just put loads of chemicals and stuff in it this afternoon so it will be clear soon (i hope so!)

----------------------------------------------------

For a snacker this afternoon I tried a Nature's Path bar FOR THE FIRST TIME!! I had the Optimun Energy Bar- Blueberry Flax & Soy with a G2. This bar was actually really good. It had the texture just like the Clif Z Bars. The bar was soft and had like a little coating of icing. It reminded me of a blueberry muffin ;) I have heard people microwaving bars like these. Maybe I should give it a try sometimee?!

couldn't wait to try this bar out, I started eating it before I took a picture...whoops!

For dinner I cooked up this shrimp lo mein stuff from Trader Joe's, it was alright. It had lo mein noodles, mini shrimp, and tons of veggies! The cousins just arrived at my house so I am peacin' outta hurr right now.

Don't be jealous Chobani...I'm not cheatin' on ya ;)

Can you believe it is already August 1st? Because I can't!! Hopefully August will bring some sun and NO rain! So this morning I got to try my new products I bought at the store last night, PB & Co. Smooth Operator Peanut Butter and Vanilla Oikos Yogurt. Yes, you can say I was a PB & Co. and Oikos virgin, but not after this mornings breakfast, boo yahhhh. And no Chobani yogurts, don't worry I still love ya to death, but I decided to try some Oikos yogurt today.
Oikos yogurt with a sliced banana
freshly new opened peanut butter!!

My breakfast looked like this:

glass of milk
Oikos yogurt with a sliced banana
english muffin w/ 1 tbsp Smooth Operator pb

As for the PB & Co. Smooth Operator Peanut Butter I really enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be a bit different from what I expected. I thought it was going to be more creamy, but that is because I am used to Skippy's Natural CREAMY pb and this wasn't creamy, so there ya go! hah. So I think I learned I like creamy peanut butter the best. But overall, I loved how it was all natural and the ingredient list was great. Smooth Operator was just like regular old peanut butter but I am now anxious to try the other cool flavors!

Okay so this morning was my FIRST time having Oikos yogurt. I thought it was kind of different from Chobani. Oikos had a different texture than Chobani. I would say Oikos is more liquidy and not as thick. Oikos also is a tad bit expensive, so budget wise I would stick to Chobani, plus it has more protein in it as well ;) But don't get me wrong I would have Oikos again. You also get more yogurt with Chobani in a 6 oz. container than the 5.2 oz. Oikos yogurt for the same amount of cals. So ya get more deliciousness for ya buck with CHOBANI:)

But for more info check out Oikos.com
-----------------------------------------------------------

No more Skippy left :( Time to try some new pb :)

So I think tomorrow to get rid of this last drop of pb I am going to use the container as my bowl. I have seen a lot of bloggers do this when there is only a lil pb left. It is such a great idea and I can't wait to try it!

-------------------------------------------------

Right after breakfast I did not waste any time, I hopped right in the shower and got cleaning on my room. I had a Nature Valley Fruit & Nut Bar and a Vanilla Boost while cleaning. I dusted, wiped, cleaned, and vaccumed my whole room. You name it...i did it. It took me nearly 2 hours! But in the end after all of my hard work it paid off and my room is spotless.

perfectly clean room :)
