Just go with me

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Wow, is it really already Humpday? This week is flying by! But I guess it is going by fast considering all the appointments I have to go to. Okay I mean I only have like one each day so I am kind of exaggerating here, but just go with me ;)

I want to thank all of you who commented on my post yesterday for the suggestions and help as I continue on in my recovery. You all gave great advice...as always ;) That is why I love you bloggers! I am meeting with my nutritionist tomorrow afternoon to go over everything and I have lots of questions for her!

Last night I went to my sister's high school basketball and she scored 21 POINTS! Not only did she do extremely well but her team won too. Before the game I had a snack, a Chocolate Almond Fudge Clif Bar to hold me over until a late dinner.
This flavor was very chocolatey with pieces of almonds.I would definitely have this bar again although it is not one of my new favorites but it is still good!

After the game we came home and watched the last part of The Biggest Loser! What did you all think of it?!

This morning for breakfast I had Plain Chobani yogurt and Kashi Go Lean topped with a sliced banana and some of Crazy Richard's creamy peanut butter with a glass of milk on the side.
Love me some peanut butter!

I then caught up on all my morning shows, Regis & Kelly and the Today Show, before showering and getting ready for the day. For my morning snack I had a Vanilla Boost with some Trader Joe's trail mix for a snack.

Then I was off to my therapist apopintment for a bit. It was so good to reconnect with her and I left the appointment feeling like we accomplished a lot! I am glad it went well because I hate when appointments don't go as well as you had hoped for or you leave feeling it was a waste of your precious time! Does this every happen to you?

Sorry to bore you with the pictures lately :/ I know this post looks exactly similiar to my one yesterday but like I said earlier...just go with me ;) I promise to post some new foodie soon!

Whats on the agenda for your Humpday night?

I'm so glad to hear your therapy appointment went well! :) and congrats to your sistahhh that's awesome!!

Oy, BL was dramaaaa last night wasn't it??? The red team makes me mad...like the woman (forget her name) just seems full of herself, and I hate when people "play the game" just cuz...I think weight results should play the game --- not strategy...granted yeah, there is money involved but being healthy is the bigger reward in the long run.

I wish that Miggy had gone home and Migdalia stayed...I think Migdalia could have worked through a lot of her emotional issues on the ranch with her mom gone.

Heeey girl! Another thing I forgot yesterday.. I know how terrifying calories can be.. (trust me) but have you ever tried boost PLUS? That's what I drank during weight gain.. I'm pretty sure it has like 120 more calories than the one you're drinking.. Just a tip!

Yum, that yogurt mess looks divine! Congrats to you siseter, and I HATE the green team on The biggest Loser. I want to slap them both for their bad attitudes.

Thanks for stoping by my blog, I can't wait to read more of yours.

Hey girl,

If adding more food seems difficult right now, you might want to consider Boost PLUS. It's what's always recommended to me for weight gain.
Oh, and by the way. I've never been willing to drink a supplement, but you've totally inspired me to start drinking Boost. I'm buying it today (either that or ensure. price matters!)

Jenna said...

Aww I am glad you are now willing to try drinking boosts!
They really aren't all that bad like everyone seems to think they are!
I actually find them pretty tasty;) omg i know it's hard to find and not all stores carry it, but buy the butter pecan if they have it! It is heavenly!
I forget the prices of boost and ensure but I know they are pretty close!
I have tried vanilla, strawberry , and butter pecan but not the chocolate yet although I really wanna! ED tells me to stay away grom the word chocolate even though they all are exactly the same but just different flavors- oh the tricks he plays on us!
Lemme know how it goes Laura! I know you can do it :)

Hey Jenna,
Have you looked at any meal groups that are in your area while you are at home? You actually eat with a group of girls, bring you own lunch, while there is a nutritionist/therapist there. From experience I can tell you it helps to have support and company. Eating alone is an ED trait and this is also a way for you all to takes risks together! It makes it easier and you have support around to process your uncomfortable feelings. Just a thought.
Are you exercising at all? Good Luck!

Doesn't PB make every meal better? We're out right now but I'm headed to the grocery store soon to stock up -- the pantry should never be without! ;)

I've added you to my reader.

Jenna said...

Rachael- although I haven't tried them all- my top three flavors are cool mint chocolate, oatmeal raisin walnut, and white chocolate
macadmia nut!! None of them will let you down... I promise :)

Mary- no I am currently not exercising now as I am trying to gain some weight back. I don't think that would be a wise decision right now! I think I need to focus on my health and get healthy. I think exercising would be a bit to much for me right now! There aren't any places around me where you can eat with other girls- there are only in patient treatment centers! Although I do wish there was places like you mentioned- sound like great support!

Hi Jenna! Ironically, I read your blog all the time haha. I'm not a creep, just comment-shy! I'm glad you had a good experience with your therapist. I've only been to one therapist and I quit going because she made me uncomfortable and didn't "get it" at all. + Adding you to my blogroll (: -Kylee

Hi!

Thanks for your comments on my blog!

I had the same Clif bar, and you MUST microwave it! It gets all gooey, like a sinful brownie but 100x chocolatier and yummier!

Your sister is very good...21 pnts! wow!

Have a nice evening!
